Upgrade Education put me into contact with my mentor, without whom I would not have been able to get this far. It’s hard to find someone who studies the same subject and at the same university that you want to apply to, so Upgrade Education made that easier. I had constant support throughout the entire admission process and was able to find my own rhythm whilst knowing I have someone to go to if I got stuck. After all, Upgrade Education is about showing you how to do it and then letting you fly. My mentor became a model to look up to and that has certainly motivated me.

Upgrade Education advised me which path to choose. I worked with Upgrade Education mentors weekly since September 2018, until the completion of my last application. Over this period, things started slowly settling in my mind, and Upgrade Education was the perfect catalyst. I don’t think I could have found better advice. I would say my achievements are due to them in a proportion of 40% (60% is me, of course :)) ). It carried me through a deep process of introspection. I discovered what my strengths and weaknesses are. I became more self-aware and I also sensed some improvement in my self-esteem, too, when I realized I had been accepted to Bocconi (with full scholarship), as well as to LSE. I managed to focus and put effort into one certain thing, trying to get rid of my chronic indecisiveness.

At Upgrade Education you get a sense of belonging. I faced several challenges on the way but I was offered all the help I needed. To me, Upgrade Education is the people who helped me reach my true potential. They guided and showed me that I can become a top university student and that my goals are truly attainable. I was able to pursue my dream, studying law at university and I owe them that I am currently a student at the London School of Economics.

The application process is an overwhelming one. When faced with decisions that I knew would have such a great impact on my future, I often felt discouraged by the magnitude of the choices I had to make. Upgrade Education guided me through all the moments of uncertainty that paved my way to college, leading me to the introspection required in order to embark on this journey. With their help, I discovered some things about who I truly am and who I want to be. I would never have been able to write essays that accurately reflect my real self without these discoveries.

My collaboration with Upgrade Education will remain the most memorable part of my college application process. Each course achieved its goal quickly and efficiently – I obtained top 0.5% scores for my SATs, I learned to write essays at a university level, and I came to have a set of applications I was proud of. Moreover, I gained skills that proved crucial later in the application process and will be relevant to my university experience. Without the essay writing courses, I could not have had a personal statement persuasive enough to be accepted at the University of Oxford.

When I first thought about studying Medicine in the UK, the process seemed really difficult and it almost scared me off from applying. However, after I started working with Upgrade Education everything changed and the whole process became clear. My mentor taught me to write in a professional way about myself, my academic achievements and my motivation to study Medicine. He challenged me with complex questions, similar to those that you would be asked in the real interview. Overall, I am sure that my collaboration with Upgrade Education was crucial to me getting an offer from Cambridge.
